This was gathered in a tweet on the official account of the agency on X(Twitter). The agency wrote “Chairman/ Chief Executive Officer of NDLEA, Brig. Gen. Mohamed Buba Marwa (Retd) CON, OFR presenting a copy of the Agency’s official magazine, NDLEA Today, to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu during his meeting with the President at the Presidential Villa in Abuja today Wednesday 15th May 2024”

The National Drug Law Enforcement Agency, as an establishment was created by Decree No. 48 of 29th December 1989.

The NDLEA was formed as a response to the surge in demand for and trafficking of narcotic drugs and psychotropic substances, which were negatively affecting the international reputation of Nigerians and Nigeria during the 1980s.

Subsequently, the illegal drug trade has transformed into an organized criminal operation, which has posed a huge threat to the nation’s security and development, that warrants immediate government attention and prioritization.

For the time being, there are no details as to what the NDLEA magazine contains.
