The Police Service Commission (PSC) has announced the appointment of a new Commissioner of Police for the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Command. The update was released on Saturday in Abuja by Mr. Ikechukwu Ani, the PSC’s Head of Press and Public Relations.
The new posting follows a recommendation by the Inspector-General of Police, Kayode Egbetokun. According to the statement, CP Peter Opara has been assigned to the FCT Command, succeeding CP Benneth Igwe. CP Igwe has been promoted to Assistant Inspector-General of Police and reassigned to Zone 7, Abuja.
