The Niger State Police Command has apprehended three suspects in connection with an attempted homicide and robbery incident.

This was disclosed in a press statement released on Thursday in Minna by the Police Public Relations Officer, SP Wasiu Abiodun.

The statement revealed that on May 22, 2024, at approximately 1730hrs, police operatives attached to the Bosso Division arrested Zingfa Nambon from Gwagwalada, Abuja, for conspiracy, attempted homicide, and armed robbery.

According to the statement, on May 3, 2024, at around 1900hrs, Zingfa Nambon and Francis Moses boarded a commercial tricycle around Airport Road, Maikunkele.

During the journey, the suspects allegedly tied the tricycle operator with a cable wire intending to kill him and subsequently pushed him out of the tricycle before fleeing with it.

Zingfa reportedly confessed that the tricycle was taken to Abuja, where Francis gave him four hundred thousand naira, and then disappeared with the tricycle.

Various blank tricycle receipts and cable wire were found in Zingfa’s possession at the time of his arrest. The police are intensifying efforts to apprehend Francis, who remains at large.
