Nigerian rapper Oladips has accused Grammy-winning artist Wizkid of intellectual property theft, claiming that the superstar sampled lyrics from his song, “Ajala Travel remix,” in Wizkid’s recent collaboration with Asake, titled “MMS.”
Oladips took to Instagram to share screenshots comparing the lyrics from both songs, highlighting the similarities.
In response to a fan who suggested that sampling is a common practice, Oladips asserted that it should only be considered acceptable when it is done with proper authorization.

He wrote, “It’s normal if you acknowledge the source! No be say dem go dey pretend like say dem no know you but come dey bite your lyrics for corner.”
As of now, Wizkid has not responded to the allegations.
