Senator Ifeanyi Ubah, who represented Anambra South District in the National Assembly and was a member of the All Progressives Congress (APC), has died. Ubah, a prominent politician and oil mogul, passed away in London, United Kingdom, two days after leaving Nigeria.

Ubah, who defected from the Young Progressives Party (YPP) to the ruling APC last year, recently joined other notable South-East politicians in commending President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for signing the South-East Development Commission bill into law.

As the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Capital Oil, which he founded in 2001, Ubah was known for his significant contributions to the oil industry. He and his campaign council recently donated N71 million to the APC in Anambra.

Details surrounding his death remain scarce at the time of this report.
