Popular Nigerian actress Nkechi Blessing has publicly apologized to the Theater Arts and Motion Pictures Practitioners of Nigeria (TAMPAN) and its president, Bolaji Amusan, known as Mr. Latin, for her previous criticisms of the association.

This gesture marks an effort to mend ties after a prolonged and public feud.

The conflict began in 2021 when Nkechi, along with fellow actress Iyabo Ojo, openly criticized TAMPAN’s response to the child abuse allegations against actor Baba Ijesha.

Their outspoken stance attracted backlash from some TAMPAN members, including actors Yomi Fabiyi and Lege Maimi.

In response, veteran actor Jide Kosoko announced that directors within TAMPAN were barred from working with Nkechi and Iyabo Ojo, a decision that Nkechi mocked publicly at the time.

However, in a heartfelt gesture at the recent Celebrities Entertainment Awards in Canada, Nkechi took the stage to apologize directly to Mr. Latin and TAMPAN.

In a viral video, she can be seen kneeling with a microphone, visibly emotional as she asked for forgiveness.

“I’ve missed this industry and everyone in it,” Nkechi expressed, visibly remorseful. “I deeply regret my past actions and humbly ask for your forgiveness.”

The apology video, widely shared online, has stirred reactions from fans and colleagues alike, with many commending her humility and hoping for a renewed relationship between Nkechi and TAMPAN.
