In a significant breakthrough, the Kogi State Police Command apprehended a notorious kidnapper this afternoon, June 7, 2024. The arrest followed a meticulously planned operation that took place around 1:30 PM, in the outskirts of Lokoja.
The suspect, identified as Salihu, has been on the police’s most-wanted list for several months. Salihu is believed to be the mastermind behind a series of kidnappings that have plagued the state, causing widespread fear among residents.
The operation was carried out by a special task force comprised of officers from various units, including the Anti-Kidnapping Squad.
