Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) May have a new champion on Sunday with a game to spare if Rangers International performs the magic.
League leaders Rangers will play host to Bendel Insurance of Benin on Sunday in a match week 37 of the Nigeria Premier Football League.
Second place Remo Stars will be travelling to Sunshine Stars in Akure and should they drop points and Rangers record a win at home, Rangers will be announced champions.
Rangers are currently top of the league with 64 points from 36 games, closely followed by Remo Stars with 62 points.
Enyimba International of Aba are third on the league with 60 points, four points behind leaders Rangers.
The Aba-based side, Enyimba were deducted three points and awarded to Rangers international following the crowd trouble that erupted in Enugu in match day 35.
The game was goalless until in the added minutes that Rangers International were awarded a penalty and Enyimba players refused to allow the game to continue and their fans joined and the match ended prematurely.
Both sides were fined by the league management for different reasons but Rangers remain in pole position for their 8th league title as their destiny is in their hands.
