The Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) has released the fixtures for the match day one of the 2024/25 football league season.
The season which is now certain to kick off on Saturday, August 31, 2024 will have the reigning Champions Rangers International of Enugu begin their title defence at home when they host league newcomers El Kanami Warriors at the Nnamdi Azikiwe stadium.
Remo Stars who finished as runners up last season who are also preparing for the Confederation of African Football (CAF) Champions League will travel to Abia State to play Abia Warriors.
Enyimba International who are also representing the country at the Continental level will be hosted by new boys Beyond Limits for a test of their league credentials.
Former Aiteo cup and league winners Akwa United will travel to Makurdi to play against their host Lobi Stars at the Aper Aku Stadium as they seek to redeem their league image after finishing 16 just one place above the relegation places last season.
New boys Ikorodu United will travel to one of the toughest league venues in the NPFL, the Sani Abacha Stadium to face league heavy weights Kano Pillars.
