The Zamfara State Command of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) has pledged to take strict disciplinary action against one of its officers, Maikano Sarkin-Tasha, who the Nigeria Police Force arrested for allegedly supplying ammunition and hard drugs to bandits in the state.
Sarkin-Tasha was reportedly apprehended and publicly paraded by the police for his involvement in supplying these illegal items to bandits in the Mada district of Gusau Local Government Area, Zamfara State.
Speaking at a press briefing at the NSCDC command headquarters in Gusau, the State Commandant, Sani Mustapha, condemned the officer’s alleged misconduct.
He revealed that Sarkin-Tasha had a history of unprofessional behavior, adding that previous attempts to track him down for his errant conduct had been unsuccessful.
