Jamaludeen Kabir, National Communications Manager of the National Social Investment Programme Agency (NSIPA), has dismissed recent rumors claiming that all outstanding payments for independent monitors and other NSIP beneficiaries have been approved.
In a statement released to Humanitarian Correspondents on Friday, Mr. Kabir clarified that these reports are outdated and do not reflect any recent developments.
Kabir highlighted that the misinformation circulating on social media is based on old news and is being inaccurately presented as current updates.
“It has come to our attention that certain individuals are sharing an old news story on social media, falsely claiming that the Federal Government has approved all outstanding payments for independent monitors and other NSIP beneficiaries,” he said.
“This information is not recent and is being misleadingly presented as breaking news.”
He urged the public to disregard these false claims and rely on verified sources for accurate information.
The NSIPA, Kabir assured, will continue to update the public on its initiatives through its official social media channels and reputable local media outlets.
“Our primary focus remains on delivering impactful, transparent, and well-monitored social investment initiatives.
We encourage Nigerians to stay informed and beware of misinformation spread by mischief-makers,” Kabir concluded, expressing gratitude for the public’s trust and support.
