The Nigeria Youth Investment Fund (NYIF) application portal is still open, inviting young Nigerians to submit their innovative business ideas for funding. This initiative, launched by the Federal Ministry of Youth Development and backed by the Federal Government, aims to empower entrepreneurs and create sustainable businesses.

To be eligible, applicants must be Nigerian citizens aged 18-40, have a viable business or idea aligned with NYIF objectives, possess a National Identification Number (NIN), and provide a detailed and realistic business plan. They must also demonstrate a willingness to contribute to Nigeria’s economic development.

The NYIF focuses on key sectors such as agriculture, creative industries, ICT and digital development, light manufacturing and renewable energy, agro-processing, fisheries, and livestock farming.

Applicants can register on the NYIF portal, complete the application form, upload required documents (NIN, business registration certificate, business plan), and submit their application online.

The NYIF has an initial seed capital of N110 billion to support youth-owned enterprises. However applicants are warned to avoid fake news and fraudsters posing as NYIF representatives and should only follow official NYIF social media channels and the website for updates.

The NYIF is a crucial part of the government’s strategy to reduce youth unemployment and support entrepreneurship. By providing resources and funding, the initiative aims to drive economic growth and job creation across Nigeria.
