The Director General of the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC), Brigadier General Yushau Dogara Ahmed, has urged Corps members to adhere strictly to the rules, regulations, and Oath of Allegiance they pledged to, as well as to follow the NYSC Bye-laws to avoid infractions during their service year.

General Ahmed made this call during his address to the 2024 Batch ‘B’ Stream II Corps members deployed to Jigawa State at the NYSC Permanent Orientation Camp in Fanisau, Dutse, and to their counterparts at the Bauchi State Temporary Orientation Camp in Kangere.

He emphasized the importance of serving the country with integrity and acting as exemplary ambassadors for their families, educational institutions, and the NYSC Scheme. He also advised Corps members to respect the cultures and traditions of their host communities and to foster harmonious relationships with local residents.

Additionally, General Ahmed encouraged Corps members to use their social media platforms responsibly by promoting positive and constructive content.

In a camp situation report, the NYSC Jigawa State Coordinator, Mr. Dawut Jidda, reported that 1,434 Corps members, comprising 774 males and 660 females, were registered at the camp. He praised the teamwork and synergy among the Orientation Course Officials from various collaborating agencies of the Scheme.

Acting Director of Information and Public Relations, Caroline Embu, noted that Mr. Jidda credited the smooth operation of the camp to the effective teamwork and the discipline of the Corps members.

Similarly, the Bauchi State Coordinator, Mrs. Rifkatu Daniel, reported a total of 1,468 Corps members, including 717 males and 751 females, registered at their camp. She highlighted their high sense of discipline and loyalty to the Scheme and commended their active participation in all camp activities.
