He emphasized the necessity of rescuing both Ogun and Nigeria from what he described as “inept leadership that continuously imposes unnecessary and harsh policies, further impoverishing Nigerians.”

Reflecting on the previous gubernatorial election in Ogun State, Phillips remarked, “We all observed the events. We were aware of the true victor chosen by the people, but unfortunately, the outcome did not reflect this reality.”

He expressed optimism for a different outcome in the forthcoming election, asserting, “PDP is strategically positioned, and with divine favor, the party will emerge victorious.”

Phillips encouraged Nigerian youths to enhance their engagement in politics, stating, “We cannot afford to relinquish the political arena to opportunists.”
