Former Manchester United manager Ole Gunnar Solskjer has declared his intention to return to the club for a second spell as a manager.
Solskjer was quoted by journalist Fabrizio Romano as saying despite not liking to speak about other clubs that have managers, he would love to return to Manchester United as a coach for a second time.
“I don’t like to talk about other manager’s jobs, but yes”.
“Of course, I would!”.
The baby face assassin was appointed as United coach back in 2018 and he seemed to be the Messiah to return United back to the glory days.
In late 2018, Manchester United appointed Solskjær as caretaker manager, taking over from José Mourinho for the rest of the 2018/2019 season.
On 28 March 2019, having won 14 of his 19 matches in charge, Solskjær signed a three-year contract to take over as Manchester United manager on a permanent basis.
He took Manchester United to the 2021 UEFA Europa League final, where they lost to Villarreal on penalties.
He was sacked by the club in November 2021 following a poor run of performances during the 2021/2022 season.
Despite providing all the players needed by current boss Erik Ten Hag, United are still struggling to produce results and many have suggested that he should be relieved of his duty despite the backings of the INEOS.
