Ondo State police have made a significant breakthrough in the case of the landlady who was fatally shot in Akure this morning.One of the alleged killers has been apprehended, shedding light on the tragic incident that shocked the community.

The suspect, identified as Frank Obafemi, was arrested in a swift operation by the Ondo State Police Command. During interrogation, Obafemi confessed to the crime, revealing that he was hired by the victim’s ex-husband to carry out the assassination.

Mrs. Olufunmi Onabanjo, the landlady, was shot multiple times as she opened her gate to drive out of her compound earlier today. The community was left in mourning, with many neighbors and friends expressing their shock and grief over the loss of a beloved member.

Police spokesperson confirmed the arrest and detailed the suspect’s confession. “The suspect, Frank Obafemi, has admitted to being part of the attack on Mrs. Onabanjo. He disclosed that her ex-husband hired him to carry out the killing due to a personal vendetta.”
