Nigeria Super Eagles forward Paul Onuachu has been officially added to Southampton’s roster for the EPL 2024-25 season.
After much anticipation and speculation about his future, the giant-height forward was poised tl making a move from the sourh coast but he is now set to compete in the Premier League this season.
The Super Eagles striker was rumoured to return to Trabzonspor, where he played on loan last season, or possibly joined another Turkish club, Goztepe.
There were also talks of his former team, Genk in Belgium, wanting him back, but in the end, he will remain at Southampton.
Although he did not play in the recent Premier League match against Manchester United, he will be eligible for selection once he has fully regained match fitness.
Onuachu’s last appearance in a Super Eagles jersey was the World Cup Qualifiers against the Cheetahs of Benin where Nigeria lost 2-1 and has been sideline due to injury and will be hoping to make a return as his future has now been certain.
