With the lingering challenges faced by African footballer of the year, Victor Osimhen on his quest to find himself a new club, eyebrows have been raised on his condition if he remains or leave.

Osimhen is currently on the verge of leaving Napoli but the deal largely depends on his club’s valuation of €120 million.

Former Super Eagles defender Ifeanyi Udeze warns that Osimhen should do everything possible to leave Napoli else will be benched by coach Antonio Conte.

Napoli appointed Conte during the summer who has already sanctioned Osimhen’s departure while identifying former loyalist Romelu Lukaku as his possible replacement.

Lukaku spent last season on loan at Italian club AS Roma but has returned to parent club Chelsea who are not interested in keeping the player.

Chelsea wants to cash-in on Lukaku as soon as possible but the deal largely depends on Osimhen’s departure.

French Club Paris Saint-Germain are leading contenders for the signature of the former Lille forward but in loggerheads with Napoli in terms of players valuation.

Osimhen gave the green light to PSG days ago but Napoli insisted on €120 million or €90 million plus Lee.

As the deadline day approaches, former West Bromwich Albion and Super Eagles defender opined that Osimhen will drop to the bench if Lukaku finally reunites with Antonio Conte at Napoli.

“I can tell you for free that Osimhen will not be a No 1 striker (at Napoli) should they sign (Romelu) Lukaku,” Udeze predicted.

“I don’t trust Antonio Conte (Napoli’s new coach).

“That’s why he has to find his way out of the club.”
