Ijoba Danku, the former manager of controversial singer Oritsefemi, has vehemently refuted several claims made by the artist regarding his interactions with prominent musicians Burna Boy and D’banj.
In a recent interview with Chude Jideonwo, Oritsefemi alleged that he had provided shelter for Burna Boy during a conflict with his mother and had sold his Prado vehicle to D’banj. Furthermore, Oritsefemi accused Danku of defrauding him and betraying his trust.
Addressing these allegations during the latest episode of the Doyin’s Corner podcast, Danku categorically denied Oritsefemi’s assertions, labeling them as outright fabrications. He expressed his disbelief at the claims, stating, “Oritsefemi did not sell any Prado to D’banj. I don’t support lies.
Burna Boy never slept in Oritsefemi’s house even once. How would he claim he helped Burna Boy during his fallout with his mum, did he do family meeting with them?” Danku added, laughing at the absurdity of the claim.

Danku went on to elaborate, highlighting the implausibility of Oritsefemi’s statements. “It’s completely unfounded to suggest that Burna Boy, who has been well-established in his own right, needed to stay at Oritsefemi’s place.
There was never an instance where Burna Boy was in such a situation, and Oritsefemi certainly did not mediate any family dispute for him,” he explained.
Regarding the claim about selling a Prado to D’banj, Danku clarified that no such transaction ever took place. “D’banj, being a successful artist with substantial means, would not have purchased a used vehicle from Oritsefemi. It’s a baseless assertion,” Danku asserted.
Danku also addressed the accusations of fraud and betrayal leveled against him. He firmly stated, “These allegations are completely false. Throughout my time managing Oritsefemi, I acted with integrity and in his best interests.
Any claims of fraud are entirely unsubstantiated and are an attempt to deflect from the real issues.”
The podcast episode delved deeper into the professional and personal dynamics between Danku and Oritsefemi, revealing a more complex relationship than what Oritsefemi had portrayed. Danku shared anecdotes of his efforts to support Oritsefemi’s career, underscoring his commitment to the artist’s success.
“I always worked hard to elevate Oritsefemi’s career, arranging deals and opportunities that would benefit him. It’s disheartening to see these false narratives being spread,” he said.
