Former Edo State Governor, Senator Adams Oshiomhole, has commended Governor Monday Okpebholo for his impressive performance during his first month in office, highlighting that he has set a remarkable precedent in the state’s governance.
Oshiomhole made these remarks when he spoke to reporters at his residence in Iyamho, located in the Estako West Local Government Area of Edo State.

Oshiomhole remarked, “For the first time in Edo’s history, we have a governor who began making appointments on his very first day in office. Not a single day or minute has gone to waste. He has also made several significant decisions in this short span of time.”
He pointed out that “Everyone in Edo can attest to the fact that the governor immediately hit the ground running, filling crucial positions to ensure that essential sectors like Justice, Health, and the State Universal Basic Education Board (SUBEB) are well-staffed. The matter of basic education is particularly important to him, and it cannot be put on hold, even for a moment.”
Additionally, the former governor expressed his enthusiasm for Governor Okpebholo’s initiatives aimed at improving infrastructure, highlighting that the citizens of Edo are already witnessing the positive effects of his administration. He noted that contractors have been mobilized back to work sites, focusing on critical areas to provide much-needed relief to the people of Edo.
