Super Eagles forward Victor Osimhen has reportedly missed Napoli’s Monday morning training session due to a muscle fatigue.
Napoli, under the leadership of Antonio Conte, resumed training for the fifth day of pre-season, focusing on tactical tests in defense, development, and finalization phases, with some activities limited to the gym.
Osimhen however was present in the gym on Sunday to continue his return but missed out on Monday’s training.
The 25-year old has been a subject of transfer speculation since the beginning of last summer as his coach Antonio Conte disclosed reports that the Nigerian might have played his last season for the Naples-based club.
Napoli has placed a €120 million price tag on the current African Footballer of the year after signing a new deal last summer.
Osimhen put pen to paper last June after lots of transfer talks that raised his wages to €10 million annually.
The former Hamburg and Lille forward is currently sidelined due to muscle fatigue but may not hinder his transfer as clubs are still showing interest with latest reports suggesting PSG to be interest but t scared by the huge fee demanded.
