Napoli forward Victor Osimhen has rejected a €65 million Al Ahli deal as revealed by Italian journalist Fabrizio Romano.
The deal was presented to Napoli on Sunday and was on the verge of agreement between clubs but Victor Osimhen remains adamant that the release clause and full salary must be paid for his transfer.
The African footballer of the year has a €120 million release clause in his contract he signed most recently with Napoli but agreement was made that the Nigerian will leave Naples this summer as the transfer window is winding down.
Paris Saint-Germain, Chelsea and Arsenal have all shown concrete interest in luring Osimhen away from Napoli but the issue continues to be on release clause and salary.
Paris Saint-Germain reported in July that agreement has been reached with Osimhen for personal terms but Napoli rejected their €80 million offer, insisting on €90 million plus Lee for the deal to happen.
The Nigerian international is having a few days to sort his way out of Napoli as new coach Antonio Conte has already gotten his main striker in Romelu Lukaku after the big Belgian joined from Chelsea and remains his number one striker as Osimhen is not considered part of his plan despite having contract at Napoli.
