Super Eagles forward Victor Osimhen showed support for teammate Mauro Icardi who has suffered a season-ending injury.
Osimhen after scoring his first of the two against Samswinspor held up Icardi’s shirt as the Argentine watched from the stand.
The Nigerian international scored two superb headers from both ends to help his side take all three points.
The former Wolfsburg, Lille and Napoli man has now scored six goals from six league games with two in three games in the UEFA Europa League while also providing three assists in both competitions.
It however benefits Nigeria as he is in good shape for the upcoming international break.
Osimhen was invited for the two qualifying games against Benin and Rwanda later this month.
Nigeria is in pole position to qualify for the next edition of the African Cup of Nations and a win in either of those games will scale them through.
