The Nigeria Super Falcons team will be seeking revenge when they take on their Brazilian counterpart at the 2024 summer Olympics in Paris.
Nigeria will be playing their first game against Brazil on Thursday, July 25 at Bordeaux, France.
Nigeria’s previous meeting with Brazil had the latter beating the West African side in their last Olympics outing.
Brazil defeated Nigeria 3-1 as Perpetua Nkwucha scored the only goal for Nigeria which was a mere consolation.
While preparing for the summer Olympics, Nigeria played a closed-door friendly game against the Olympics defending champions Canada and lost 1-0.
While remaining as the best female team in Africa, and being ranked 36th in the world, Nigeria is paired in group C alongside their Thursday opponents Brazil who are the 9th best team in the world as well as Spain and Japan also in the group.
