In a heart-wrenching event, Dauda Dalyop, a 63-year-old pastor of the Assemblies of God Church, and his 57-year-old wife, Chummy Dauda, were laid to rest in Kimakpa village, Kwall District, Bassa Local Government Area of Plateau State.

The couple, along with three other individuals, fell victim to a brutal attack by gunmen on Monday, June 5, 2024.

Pastor and wife killed by gunmen laid to rest in Plateau community

The assailants, believed to be Fulani militias, also took the lives of 26-year-old Chinwe Ajuh, 47-year-old Joshua Kusa, and 43-year-old Mrs. Rikwe Doro. This attack has left the community in deep mourning and fear, as they gathered to bid farewell to the beloved couple and the other victims.

The community of Kimakpa village is left grappling with the loss and the trauma of the attack, while calls for enhanced security and justice for the victims resonate throughout the region.
