The General Overseer of Christ Evangelical and Life Intervention Ministry, Kaduna, Pastor (Dr.) Yohanna Buru, has extended a gesture of goodwill by donating to the newly constructed Tudun-Biki Central Mosque in Igabi Local Government Area of Kaduna State.

The donation, presented during the mosque’s grand opening on Friday, included trees and over 100 plastic kettles. This initiative aims to strengthen Christian-Muslim relations and foster religious tolerance in the region.

The event coincided with the one-year anniversary of a tragic drone attack that claimed the lives of worshippers celebrating the birth of Prophet Muhammad (SAW) in Tudun Biri. Special prayers were offered in memory of the victims, and the mosque was officially opened for prayers.

Speaking at the event, Pastor Buru emphasized the importance of unity and mutual support between Christians and Muslims. He stated:

“We must remember that we are one family under God. Both Christians and Muslims follow holy scriptures — the Bible and the Quran — and share beliefs in paradise and hell. Our ancestry traces back to Adam and Eve, and as such, we must live as brothers and sisters, supporting one another.”

Pastor Buru highlighted the church’s tradition of aiding mosques affected by disasters such as fires and storms, reaffirming the church’s commitment to promoting peace and religious tolerance.

Receiving the donation, Mallam Ibrahim Sheikh Dahiru Usman Bauchi expressed gratitude for the support, noting that the gifts of trees, prayer mats, and plastic kettles would benefit the Muslim worshippers.

Mallam Ibrahim also urged Nigerians to continue praying for peace and stability across the nation, emphasizing the need for collective efforts to protect Nigeria’s unity.

“We must all work together to maintain peace and patriotism, upholding the dignity of our nation,” he said.
