The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has celebrated a remarkable victory in the recent local government elections in Zamfara State, securing all 14 chairmanship roles and every councillorship position throughout the state.

Bala Aliyu, Chairman of the Zamfara State Independent Electoral Commission (ZASIEC), announced the results during a press conference in Gusau on Sunday morning, confirming the PDP’s significant success.

“PDP candidates triumphed in all local government areas, including Gusau, Kaura-Namoda, Maru, Talata Mafara, and Anka, among others,” Aliyu stated, characterizing the elections as free, fair, and credible.

He credited the seamless execution of the elections to the collaborative efforts of security forces, electoral officials, and engaged voters.

Wadatau Madawaki, representing the PDP at the collation center, hailed the results as a “strong affirmation of the PDP’s leadership and dedication to advancing Zamfara State.”

He encouraged the newly elected chairmen to work closely with Governor Dauda Lawal’s Rescue Mission to foster progress and prosperity in the state.

Independent election monitors noted that the polls were conducted in a generally peaceful environment, praising the enhanced security measures that contributed to the smooth and credible electoral process.

This victory solidifies the PDP’s stronghold in Zamfara State and reflects widespread public endorsement for Governor Lawal’s administration and developmental initiatives.
