Through breathtaking digital animation, Pepsi animated its fresh identity, featuring its iconic bottle emerging from the summit of the Lagos masterpiece, and the City Gate embracing the arrival of the new label.

This brand refresh goes beyond a mere logo update; it heralds the beginning of a new era for Pepsi®,” remarks Marius Vorster, Marketing Director for PepsiCo West, East, and Central Africa (WECA).

Further discussing the brand’s iconic evolution, Norden Thurston, Chief Marketing Officer of Seven-Up Bottling Company, remarked that the refresh of the visual identity comes at a crucial juncture for brand Pepsi®, strategically drawing from Pepsi’s heritage while infusing modern elements to craft a new appearance that is boldly contemporary and unmistakably Pepsi.

This updated appearance and color palette introduce electric blue and black to infuse a modern twist into the classic Pepsi color scheme, while the new signature Pepsi pulse embodies the essence of Pepsi-Cola – resonating with the “ripple, pop, and fizz” of Pepsi-Cola, synchronizing with the rhythm of music, the energy of the crowd, and the pulse of culture.

Segun Ogunleye, GM Marketing at Seven-Up Bottling Company, remarked, “The new logo aims to enhance brand distinctiveness, deepen influence, and appeal while strengthening connections with our Nigerian consumers by leveraging iconic landmarks such as the National Theatre, Lagos, and the Abuja City Gate.

“As our customers and consumers engage with the fresh look across various touchpoints nationwide, we assure them of the same quality and refreshing experience.”

He said that Pepsi stands as a contemporary brand, steeped in history and heritage, exemplifying consistent reinvention over its 125-year journey.

This dedication to innovation and premium refreshment has consistently positioned Pepsi as the top choice of cola in Nigeria, a refreshing constant in people’s lives.
