Former Big Brother Naija housemate, Pere Egbi, recently clarified rumors surrounding actress Sharon Ooja’s husband, Ugo Nwoke, addressing claims about his marital history.
In response to a viral video disputing reports of Nwoke’s multiple marriages, Pere shared the video on his social media platform and revealed, “Her husband’s cousin who is a friend of mine confirmed the same thing to me.” He criticized blogs for spreading unsubstantiated negative news and emphasized that Nwoke had only been married once, contrary to earlier reports.
Expressing his frustration with sensationalist reporting, Pere wrote, “It’s funny how people read things and because they are gullible they believe it. And how are blogs just so focused on negative things to just carry any kind of story amazes me. They don’t care about the authenticity, they just carry it.”

Furthermore, Pere defended the concept of remarriage for divorcees, stating, “And there’s nothing wrong with being married once.”
The controversy arose shortly after Sharon Ooja’s extravagant wedding with Ugo Nwoke in Abuja, with some media outlets, including StellaDimokorkus blog, initially claiming that Nwoke had been married three times before, all ending in divorce.
