Peter Obi has publicly dismissed rumors regarding his arrest, labeling them as “completely false.”
In a message shared on his official X (formerly Twitter) account, Obi reassured his supporters that he is presently at his residence in Onitsha, Anambra State. “I have been made aware of the circulating false news about my supposed arrest. Let me be clear: these claims are entirely unfounded. I am at home in Onitsha,” he stated. “This kind of misinformation has become a frequent pastime for some individuals.”
This denial follows a series of allegations involving a death threat exchanged between him and Felix Morka, a prominent member of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC).
Obi urged his supporters to remain focused and not be swayed by unfounded rumors that could divert attention from the pressing issues confronting the nation.
In response, Morka clarified his earlier controversial comments regarding Obi, explaining that they were a reaction to being labeled a “voodoo economist” and “prophet of doom.” He also challenged Obi to provide any evidence regarding the alleged threats made against him and his family.
