Peter Obi, the Labour Party (LP) presidential candidate during the 2023 general election, has encouraged the younger generation to remain steadfast and never lose hope in Nigeria.
In a message shared on his official X account on Sunday, Obi spoke to young Nigerians at the Social Media Fest (SMFest) held in Owerri.
According to reports, SMFest is an initiative designed to educate participants on harnessing technology, social media, and innovation to enhance their businesses, brands, and causes by providing valuable insights and exposure to digitalization’s benefits.
The former Governor of Anambra State acknowledged the difficult circumstances facing Nigeria but urged the youth to remain patient and resilient, emphasizing that perseverance is key to achieving success even amid hardships.
“Indeed, Nigeria is facing many challenges at the moment, but those of us from the older generation draw inspiration from the energy and drive of our youth,” he stated.
He added, “So, don’t lose hope! Whether in entrepreneurship, skill acquisition, education, or politics, keep pushing forward!
“Life will undoubtedly present you with challenges, but stay strong. If necessary, take a step back, reassess your approach, adapt, and return with renewed vigor,” he tweeted.
