Peter Obi, the former presidential candidate for the Labour Party, has offered his heartfelt congratulations to John Azuta-Mbata following his election as the President-General of Ohanaeze Ndigbo, the leading socio-cultural organization for the Igbo people.
In his message, Obi encouraged Azuta-Mbata and the newly elected executive committee of Ohanaeze to prioritize the promotion of peace and unity across Nigeria.
Azuta-Mbata, who represents Rivers State, was elected to his new role during an election held over the weekend in Enugu State.
