The National Cybercrime Centre of the Nigeria Police Force has apprehended Zfancy, a prankster based in Abuja, for producing threatening video pranks. According to a statement by Force Public Relations Officer ACP Olumuyiwa Adejobi, the arrest took place at an apartment in the Wuye area of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT).
Adejobi explained that the arrest followed the circulation of videos on social media alleging the prankster’s involvement in serious crimes, including rape, which caused widespread apprehension among social media users.
“The suspect claimed the videos were scripted as part of an effort to regain attention after a hiatus. However, such actions carry significant consequences and cannot be overlooked,” Adejobi emphasized.
