The Anambra State Police Command has arrested two brothers for the alleged murder of their mother in a suspected money ritual. The incident occurred earlier today in the Ihiala local government area.

According to the police spokesperson, the brothers, identified as Kingsley and Emeka Okoye, were apprehended following a tip-off from vigilant community members who noticed suspicious activities around their residence.

The police were alerted to the gruesome scene where the body of their mother, Mrs. Cynthia Okoye, was found with ritualistic markings.

Preliminary investigations suggest that the brothers may have been influenced by the desire for quick wealth, leading them to commit the heinous act.

The suspects are currently in police custody and will be charged to court as soon as investigations are concluded.

The police have urged the public to remain calm and continue to provide any information that could aid in further investigations.

Authorities have also reiterated their commitment to tackling the rising cases of ritual killings in the state, emphasizing the importance of community vigilance and cooperation in combating such crimes.
