In a swift operation, police officers from the Enugu State Command apprehended two suspects involved in a phone theft incident on Rangers Avenue, Enugu. The suspects, identified as 27-year-old Abuchi Kenneth and 29-year-old Ifeanyi Odu, were arrested on Sunday, September 29, 2024, around 12 p.m.
According to reports, the duo was caught after allegedly breaking into a parked vehicle and stealing phones from within. Vigilant residents in the area alerted law enforcement officers, who quickly responded and arrested the suspects at the scene.
The Enugu State Police Command has confirmed that investigations are ongoing and assured the public that justice will be served. The police also urged vehicle owners to be cautious and avoid leaving valuable items in their cars to prevent similar incidents.
The suspects are currently in custody and will be charged to court following the completion of investigations.
