The Ondo State Police Command has arrested a woman identified as Mrs. Blessing Olopade for allegedly pouring hot water on her husband, Mr. Kayode Olopade, after accusing him of infidelity. The incident occurred in the late hours of Saturday night, September 21, in their home located in Akure, the state’s capital.
According to eyewitnesses, a heated argument broke out between the couple after Mrs. Olopade confronted her husband about rumors of his extramarital affairs. In a fit of rage, she reportedly boiled water and threw it on her husband, leaving him with severe burns on his chest and arms.
Mr. Olopade was immediately rushed to the nearest hospital, where he is currently receiving treatment for his injuries. Doctors have confirmed that his condition is stable, though he will require further medical attention.
Neighbors revealed that the couple had been married for over five years and had been experiencing marital issues for some time, but the situation escalated after the recent allegations of infidelity surfaced.
