Controversial Nigerian singer, Portable, has stirred up debate after attributing the death of Afrobeat pioneer Fela Anikulapo-Kuti to his activism, suggesting that Fela would have lived longer if he had “minded his business.”

During an interview, Portable commented on the iconic musician’s fate, stating, “According to what we were told, if Fela had minded his business a little he would have lived longer. But he was busy fighting for Nigerians wey no fight for their selves.”
