Cristiano Ronaldo has described his moment of winning the European championship with Portugal as equal to winning the World Cup.
Ronaldo who scored his 900th career goal for club and country against Croatia on Thursday confessed as quoted by Italian journalist Fabrizio Romano.
“I’ve already won two trophies for Portugal that I wanted. I’m not motivated by that, it’s way different”.
“I’m motivated by enjoying football and records come naturally. I don’t break records… they just haunt me!”.
“900 goals seems like any other milestone, but only I know how hard it is to work every day to reach them.”
“It’s a unique milestone in my career, I’m so proud”.
“I’m 39 and a half years old… I have to be very focused for things to go well. It takes a lot of dedication. That’s why, when these records happen, I get so emotional”.
