President Bola Tinubu has landed in Lagos State to celebrate the Christmas and New Year holidays, as announced by Bayo Onanuga, his special adviser on information and strategy.
Upon arrival at the Murtala Mohammed International Airport, the President was warmly welcomed by Lagos Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu, his deputy Obafemi Hamzat, and other state officials.
Before heading to Lagos, President Tinubu addressed a joint session of the National Assembly in Abuja, where he unveiled the 2025 budget proposal amounting to N47.9 trillion.
In his budget presentation, he emphasized that the proposed financial plan aligns with his administration’s vision to foster peace, prosperity, and a hopeful future for Nigeria.
The President also noted that the economic reforms initiated by his government are starting to show promising outcomes. He highlighted that the visible signs of gradual economic recovery and other indicators demonstrate the resilience of the nation’s economy, attributed to the “intentional policy decisions” implemented since he assumed office.
