President Bola Tinubu has pledged that his administration is committed to equipping the Nigeria Police Force with more advanced tools and resources.
The President stated that the enhancement of the police force through modern equipment will facilitate their ability to perform their duties more effectively.
“We are also initiating a comprehensive recruitment campaign for the Police Force, aimed at empowering our youth to engage actively in national security initiatives,” Tinubu remarked.
While addressing the graduation ceremony of 478 cadets from the Nigeria Police Academy in Wudil, Kano State, the President urged the new officers to strictly adhere to the ethical standards of contemporary policing as they fulfill their roles.
Represented by Vice President Kashim Shettima, Tinubu underscored the critical need to reject corruption and maintain the highest standards of professionalism within the force.
He expressed his belief that the graduates have received sufficient training, both academically and professionally, to make a significant contribution to the nation’s security framework.
The President further assured that the Federal Government would continue to provide support to the academy, which he acknowledged as one of the premier training institutions for police officers in Sub-Saharan Africa.
