President Bola Tinubu has earmarked a substantial allocation of N2.48 trillion for the health sector in Nigeria’s 2025 budget, which constitutes 5.18 percent of the total proposed budget of N47.90 trillion.

A detailed analysis of the budget reveals that N402 billion is specifically allocated for health infrastructure, while N282.65 billion is designated for the Basic Health Care Provision Fund (BHCPF).

During his presentation of the N49.7 trillion 2025 budget on Wednesday, President Tinubu characterized it as the “Budget of Restoration: Securing Peace and Rebuilding Prosperity.”

In his address to the National Assembly, the president underscored the imperative to “rewrite Nigeria’s narrative together,” calling for collaborative efforts among various stakeholders.

He articulated that the onus of altering Nigeria’s trajectory lies not solely with the government but also with institutions, the private sector, and the citizenry.

“This endeavor is not a solitary fight but a collective mission aimed at restoring the greatness of Nigeria,” he affirmed.
