President Bola Tinubu is set to inaugurate 1,000 housing units in the Renewed Hope City, located in Abuja, by December 2024, making these properties available for interested Nigerians to acquire.
These units are part of a larger initiative comprising 3,112 housing units within the Renewed Hope City project, situated in the Karsana District, which commenced in February 2024.
Housing Minister Arc. Ahmed Musa Dangiwa shared this information during the Property and Environment Writers Association of Nigeria (PEWAN) awards ceremony in Lagos on November 28, 2024. He was recognized for his dedication to promoting affordable housing and facilitating accessible mortgage options.
Further details were also released via a statement on the official website of the Ministry of Housing and Urban Development.
“The Minister indicated that a substantial number of the housing units are nearing completion, expressing confidence that the 1,000 units in Abuja will be officially commissioned by Mr. President in December,” the statement noted.
Minister Dangiwa confirmed that these housing units will be available for purchase through an online portal, making the dream of homeownership more attainable for many Nigerians.
