In a remarkable move, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has granted his resolute approval for an astounding sum of over N12 billion to be allocated towards Team Nigeria’s comprehensive preparation and participation at the much-anticipated 2024 Paris Olympics and Paralympics in the enchanting city of Paris, France.
During an engaging parley with esteemed sports writers at the Media Center of Moshood Abiola National Stadium in Abuja, Senator Enoh shared this extraordinary news.
He revealed that President Tinubu has wholeheartedly embraced Nigeria’s sports ambitions by giving his unwavering nod to the entire budget estimate submitted for Nigeria’s distinguished involvement in the Paris Olympics and Paralympics.
The approved N12 billion budget has been thoughtfully allocated into two distinct parts. A staggering N9 billion has been designated for the Olympics, which will see our remarkable able-bodied athletes showcase their indomitable spirit and skills from July 26th to August 11th.
In addition, an awe-inspiring N3 billion has been specifically earmarked for the Paralympics, with an unwavering focus on empowering our exceptional physically challenged athletes to shine on the global stage from August 28th to September 8th.
This momentous approval from President Tinubu serves as a resounding testament to his unyielding commitment to the development of sports within our beloved nation. It is a profound declaration of his unwavering resolve to celebrate and showcase Nigeria’s exceptional talents on the grandest international platforms.
Senator Enoh eloquently expressed his exhilaration, stating, “We have been granted a budget of over N12 billion, a remarkable feat that has been wholeheartedly approved by the federal government.
This budget has been diligently divided into two parts, with N9 billion allocated for the Olympics and over N3 billion for the Paralympics. Within this budget, provisions have been meticulously made to ensure the athletes’ well-being and welfare are paramount.”

“Our exceptional athletes have already received their local camping allowances, and I have personally ensured that their foreign camping allowances will be disbursed before their departure from Germany to Paris,” Senator Enoh confidently affirmed.
