On Tuesday, a distinguished delegation from the presidency traveled to Katsina State to express condolences to the family of the late Hajiya Dada Yar’Adua. President Bola Tinubu, currently attending the Africa-China Cooperation Summit in China, is thought to have instructed Vice President Kashim Shettima to represent him in this gesture of sympathy.

Hajiya Dada was the mother of the late President Umaru Musa Yar’Adua, who served Nigeria from 2007 until his passing in 2010. She departed this world on Monday at an impressive age, marking the end of a significant chapter in the Yar’Adua family.

In a message of condolence, President Tinubu expressed his heartfelt sorrow for the Yar’Adua family following Hajiya Dada’s demise. He extended his sympathies not only to Senator Abdulaziz Musa Yar’Adua and the people of Katsina State but also to all those whose lives were enriched by the late matriarch.

“The President mourns the loss of Hajiya Dada while celebrating her legacy of kindness, integrity, and camaraderie,” stated Ajuri Ngelale, Tinubu’s media aide.

He further prayed for the soul of the departed and emphasized that Hajiya Dada will be fondly remembered for the support, peace, happiness, and solace she provided to many throughout her life.
