Reno Omokri has taken aim at former Kaduna State Governor Nasir el-Rufai, criticizing his recent remarks regarding the Tinubu administration’s allocation of government funds for a railway project in Lagos.

In a pointed tweet on X, Omokri reminded el-Rufai of his earlier controversial admission regarding the use of public funds to compensate killer herdsmen, labeling him a hypocrite for now expressing discontent over the current administration’s investment in infrastructure.

Omokri provocatively suggested that el-Rufai might prefer if those funds were redirected to support Boko Haram instead.

He stated, “Just think about it—Nasir el-Rufai, the same individual who openly confessed to using government resources to pay killer herdsmen, is now criticizing the Tinubu administration for allocating funds to build a railway in Lagos.”

“Perhaps he would have preferred if the money had gone to fund Boko Haram!” he added.

Omokri, who was previously a spokesperson for opposition leader and Peoples Democratic Party presidential candidate Atiku Abubakar during the 2023 elections, has since shifted his support to President Bola Tinubu after the election results.
