Spanish side Atletico Madrid has made a £60 million audacious bid in an attempt to lure Manchester United winger Alejandro Gernacho back to the club.

Manchester United are currently negotiating ways to get some players off their wage bill in order to make new signings for new coach Rubén Amorim but must make sales first before they can sign new players.

Recently, during the Manchester derby, Coach Rubén Amorim dropped the Argentine star from the match day squad and urged that players must do enough in training to claim a spot in the side.

Gernacho who joined Manchester United academy as a teenager has enjoyed relative success in recent years since making his debut, but has faced serious threats in his playing position as Amorim believes there is no special treatment for specific players.

Amad Diallo, Mazraoui, Matthijs De Ligt, André Onana, Leny Yoro and Kobbie Mainoo were the only names mentioned as untouchable in the United current squad.
