Sources have made revelation on why Manchester United coach Rubén Amorim dropped club’s current all-time top scorer during their clash against Manchester City.
Amorim was questioned on why he dropped England International Marcus Rashford in the game against Manchester City, but his decision paid off as United went to register a 2-1 win over City neighbors.
“After the match against Everton on December 1st, Ruben Amorim learned that Marcus Rashford had gone out in Manchester on the evening of Friday, November 29th less than 48 hours before.” Per Fabrizio Romano on his official Facebook page.
“Amorim does not want his players to come off so close to games and asked Rashford about it, who assured him he had been misinformed about the late exit.
“In the final training session before facing Man City, he gave a lackluster performance, according to many sources, some of whom said he looked tired.
“There were rumours that he had been out the day before, which those close to the player categorically deny.” The statement said.
Manchester United visits Anfield in a Super Sunday classic and it is understood that Rashford will be missing the clash due to illness according to coach Rubén Amorim.
