Rhema University Nigeria, Aba, has received full accreditation for all its courses, including Medicine and Surgery.

This announcement was made on Friday by the university’s Public Relations Officer, Mr. Earl Okezie.

According to Okezie, this accreditation follows the October/November 2023 evaluation visits by the National Universities Commission (NUC).

The accreditation was confirmed in a letter from the NUC, signed by the Acting Director of Accreditation on behalf of the Executive Secretary, Abraham Chundusu.

The fully accredited courses include Accounting, Banking and Finance, Medical Laboratory Sciences, Human Anatomy, Mass Communication, Medicine and Surgery, Biochemistry, and Chemistry.

Okezie noted that the Nursing Science Department had previously received full accreditation from the NUC.

Additionally, the university has been accredited by the Nursing and Midwifery Council of Nigeria, as well as the Medical and Dental Council of Nigeria for Medicine and Surgery.

The Medical Laboratory Science programme also received accreditation from the Medical Laboratory Science Council of Nigeria.

The Vice Chancellor, Professor Ogbonnaya Onwudike, expressed that this positive development would enhance the university’s mission to equip humanity for excellence.

Okezie mentioned that Rhema University began admitting students 14 years ago, following its licensing by the Federal Government as a private university in Nigeria.
