Five-time Ballon D’Or winner Cristiano Ronaldo has set a new goal scoring record in the Saudi Arabian Pro League.
The Portuguese has just hit his 34th and 35th goal of the season, becoming the first player to score 35 goals in a single season in the middle east league (Saudi Arabia).
Ronaldo opened the scoring in the 45th minute to gift his side the advantage over Al-Ittihad before doubling his tally in 69th minute.
The brace in the final game of the season takes him one goal above the previous record holder who was on 34 goals.
Hamdallah held the record in the 2018/2019 season when he won the golden boot with 34 goals.
But Ronaldo equalled his tally and got one more than him today to set a new goal scoring record in the league.
The 39-year old has also provided 11 assists this season after playing just 31 games as injury forced him to miss some parts of the game.
