Nigerian musician Paul Okoye, better known as Rudeboy from the popular P-Square duo, has reiterated his decision to part ways with his twin brother, Peter Okoye, despite past efforts at reconciliation.

Tensions between the two brothers first surfaced publicly when Paul accused Peter of involving the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) in their disputes, alleging that Peter attempted to have him arrested.

This feud marked the beginning of the duo’s split in 2017, before briefly reuniting in 2021.

During a candid Instagram live session on Wednesday, Paul expressed his frustration, hinting that the imbalance in their work dynamic played a significant role in the ongoing rift.

Speaking in pidgin, he said, “Those days of monkey dey work, baboon dey chop, I no dey do again. So I would rather continue working for myself. Every time, only me dey sing all the songs. I no dey do again.”

Rudeboy emphasized that the divide between him and Peter is more complicated than it appears from the outside, signalling that the longstanding issues are far from resolved.

Fans who had hoped for another reunion may now have to come to terms with the possibility that P-Square’s differences may be permanent.
